Spatial Technologies workshop for Teachers - this weekend

An Exciting Opportunity: THIS WEEKEND

There are a few spaces available for this weekend’s “ Certification Training in Spatial Technologies (GIS/GPS) for teachers”

This is an intensive training workshop for both Beginning and experienced teachers that would like to hone their classroom skills and strategies using an array of spatial skills and competencies. This program is normally just open to OISE pre-service teachers but this year there are a few space available to others. They will be available on a first come basis .

Software used :

·         Google Earth

·         ArcGIS

·         ArcGIS online

Methods & Strategies

·         How to teach with Spatial technologies

·         Lab and classroom techniques

·         Data collection and storage

·         Lesson packs

·         Assessment

·         Focus on Inquiry and new Canadian & World Studies curricula ( useful for grade 6-12 teachers of geography and other subjects , science ,history & business )

Cost ; $125.00 for 15 plus house of certification training

Location OISE

Times          Friday - October 18 –          6-9;30

                    Saturday – October 19-      9-3;30

                    Sunday  - October 20       10-3-30

  1. Hi,the law does not allow a non-Qatari to participate in banking with Business setup in Qatar, insurance, commercial agency or real estate trading activities. Full foreign ownership is also viable for companies registering under different zones.Thanks..
